Transportation is fairly easy from Mae Sot to the Burma Border. Simply ask your hotel/guest house owner and they will be happy to make arrangements for transportation. Cost will be around 80 baht to the bridge. Once at the bridge simply hand your passport over at the Thai side and once you are stamped out make your way across the bridge and into Burma (Myanmar). Unlike Mae Sai in the North you will rarely have to wait behind loads of other tourists and the Burmese immigration are laid back to say the least. We have done visa runs in Mae Sot for over 9 years we have never had any hassles. One time we timed our run and with a leisurely walk across the bridge with passport stamped both sides we timed it 18 minutes which is not bad.
